Use punch cutters to make nice equal dough strips

The strip cutter is used to be able to cut dough into equally large strips or slices. In the Netherlands also called the Jan Hagel cutter; Janhagel (also spelled as Jan Hagel) is a typical Dutch type of cookie that has been baked since the eighteenth century. It is a rectangular, brittle cookie, covered with coarse sugar (the 'hail') and possibly almond shavings. It is an old specialty, which is still being baked by pastry chefs.
